# MetaOSINT

MetaOSINT (<https://metaosint.github.io/>) is a tool to quickly identify relevant, publicly-available open source intelligence ("OSINT") tools and resources[\[1\]](https://github.com/MetaOSINT), saving valuable time during investigations, research, and analysis[\[2\]](https://metaosint.github.io/). It provides an interactive visualization to start broader and surface many similar and alternative resources in the same categories[\[2\]](https://metaosint.github.io/). MetaOSINT is a Python3 Application for Unix-based Operating Systems[\[3\]](https://github.com/topics/osint?l=html) that requires at least python version 3.5 to work[\[4\]](https://github.com/chriswmorris/Metaforge). It analyzes metadata and creates dynamic reports using tools such as Exiftool[\[4\]](https://github.com/chriswmorris/Metaforge), progress[\[4\]](https://github.com/chriswmorris/Metaforge), dominate[\[4\]](https://github.com/chriswmorris/Metaforge), colorama[\[4\]](https://github.com/chriswmorris/Metaforge) and pyexifinfo[\[4\]](https://github.com/chriswmorris/Metaforge). Additionally, it retrieves information about a given domain from the Google Transparency Report : <https://transparencyreport.google.com/https/certificates> [\[3\]](https://github.com/topics/osint?l=html).MetaOSINT also includes a repository of OSINT-and-Cybersecurity-accounts-in-Mastodon which brings together tool creators, bloggers, speakers, book authors, and other interesting Mastodon accounts [\[5\]](https://github.com/cipher387/OSINT-and-Cybersecurity-accounts-in-Mastodon). This repository can be subscribed to all profiles from this list at once by downloading the file osint\_accounts.csv from this repository and importing it into your account using the menu: Preferences -> Import and export -> Import (make sure that the Merge option is active)[\[5\]](https://github.com/cipher387/OSINT-and-Cybersecurity-accounts-in-Mastodon).
